Carlos Pinatti’s inspiration for his films comes from first-hand experience of a place or in response to a person or community. From the life of a pigeon fancier in the village of Cymmer, Wales to a Falklands veteran in Argentina, his social documentary films reflect his interest in the background stories of his subjects, which he reveals with his gentle and often humorous approach. His latest film "Bread, Feathers and Maté" was nominated for a Bafta Cymru/Wales best short film 2009.
